A tale of two cities

A story of collaboration in the implementation and rollout of an innovative clinical IT solution.

Presented at the HiNZ 2016 conference by John Hewitt, Canterbury DHB and Peter Groom, Waitemata DHB; this is the story of collaboration by two New Zealand District Health Boards (DHBs) in the implementation and rollout of an innovative clinical IT solution, Patientrack. Peter and John discuss the benefits of collaboration, how two different DHBs faced similar and different issues, and how Patientrack is now helping their hospitals deliver more efficient care.

The annual Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ) Conference is the premier health IT event in New Zealand, with over 1,100 attendees in 2016. HiNZ is a not-for-profit organisation that supports the field of health informatics and links a diverse group of professionals in the health and IT sectors. MKM Health and Patientrack were delighted once again to be involved in this event, and already looking forward to HiNZ 2017 on 1-3 November in Rotorua.
